In the neighbourhood

The lake is a fifteen minute drive by car, with picturesque and lively towns such as Iseo, Sarnico, Lovere and Pisogne. There are (grass) beaches around the lake where you can rent sunbeds, sunbathe and swim all day long. Monte Isola is located in the middle of Lake Iseo. It is a beautiful island where you can go for a walk, eat delicious fish in one of the islands many restaurants or have a coffee near the water.

The Franciacorta region is a small and relatively unknown wine region at the foot of Lake Iseo. Because of its climate and soil it is the ideal place for the cultivation of grapes and winemaking. Franciacorta wine is known as the Italian sister of the French Champagne. And for good reason: it is a delicious sparkling wine that is ready to be discovered! A visit to one of the many wineries in the region should therefore not be missed.

One of the benefits of the location of the house is that on one side of the mountain there's the charming, busy Lake Iseo and on the other side there's Trompia Valley, with its shops, restaurants and markets. In the valley nobody speaks a word of English, the streets are chaos but everybody is exceptionally friendly. Chances are high to you will be served the best pasta of your life in a lovely neighbourhood cafe with fluorescent lighting.

Whether you are into outdoor activities, reading or sunbathing, Villa Zoadello is the right place. The house is a stone's throw from the 'Passo dei tre Termini', a popular route for cyclists. You can go mountain biking in the forest around the house, there are many beautiful hiking trails and you can walk from Villa Zoadello to the waterfalls of Monticelli Brusati in forty minutes. It's possible to go kayaking, sailing and supping on lake Iseo and the beautiful Franciacorta golf course is a twenty-minute drive away.

The closest city is Brescia and within thirty-five minutes you are in the historic district of this vibrant student city. Cities such as Verona and Bergamo are within an hour's drive. Milan is one and a half hour away and Venice a little over two hours. The house itself is located in a village with a small shop and two cafes, where you can start the day with a proper Italian cappuccino and a croissant, to end the day with an aperitivo (cocktail) in the sun.
